Brain is full: Why I capture every idea immediately

Last month I noticed something strange. I'd have a content idea in the morning—something I wanted to post about—and I'd think "I'll remember this."

Then nothing else would come. The whole day, no new ideas. Just the same one circling back.

I wasn't actively thinking about it. But my brain wouldn't let go. It needed to be resolved. And while it sat there unresolved, there was no space for anything else.

Then I started an experiment. The moment an idea came, I'd save it immediately. Write it down, record a voice note, just get it out of my head.

Everything changed. I'd capture that first idea, and suddenly another one would come at lunch. Something at work. A conversation that sparked something new.

I realized my brain can only hold one unfinished idea at a time. The first one blocks everything else from getting through.

Now I save everything the moment it comes. For me, that's Edicek – voice memos, notes, links. Not because I need to use it right away. Just to clear the space so the next idea has somewhere to land.
