I build things and share lessons nobody told me straight.
I have an external mic on my camera. Not the built-in one. An actual external mic that's supposed to sound good.
But I'm recording in a small room with hard walls. No acoustic treatment, no foam panels, nothing. Just me, a camera, and a room that echoes.
The audio quality shows it. You can hear the room. That hollow, slightly reverberant sound that screams "amateur recording."
CapCut has built-in voice enhancement. I tried it. It helped a little. The audio was cleaner, less harsh. But you could still hear the room. It sounded better than raw audio, but not professional. Not the kind of audio that makes people want to keep watching.
Then I found Adobe Enhance Speech. It's free. You upload your audio file, wait about 30 seconds, and download the result.
The difference is massive. The room acoustics disappear. It sounds like I recorded in a studio with proper treatment. Clean, clear, professional audio.
It adds maybe 60 seconds to my workflow. Export audio from video. Upload to Adobe. Download enhanced version. Import back into editor.
That's it. One minute of extra work per video.
Good audio matters more than good video. People will tolerate average video quality. They won't tolerate bad audio.
I haven't bought acoustic foam. I haven't rented a better space. I just upload the audio and get professional results.
I'll send you an email when I publish something new. No spam, just real stuff.
