I suppress ideas on purpose

Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever run out of ideas for new videos. I don't think so.

It feels like I'm opening long-closed boxes inside me. Things just pour out. Things I've had inside and always wanted to say. And once I say them, they come back in a different form.

My record is 29 ideas in one day. TikTok script ideas. Each took maybe 3 or 4 minutes to dictate. Throughout the day, mostly while driving. It didn't even feel like work.

Things keep happening throughout the day. You face obstacles, something works out, you notice something. And I believe there are people who might be interested in hearing about it.

But sometimes when I have too many, I consciously suppress it. There's no point going out to collect more ideas when I have 40 in progress. At some point you need to stop capturing and start making. Otherwise you end up with a mountain of raw material and nothing published.

So I force myself to look away. An idea pops up while driving and I let it go. If it's good enough, it'll come back. If it doesn't, it probably wasn't worth a video anyway.

The hard part isn't finding things to talk about. The hard part is saying no to the ones that aren't ready yet.
